Communication Consent
This page documents the opt-in language and procedures Franklin Chapel AME Zion Church uses before enrolling a person in recurring text-message or automated voice-call communications. It is intended to provide a clear public record for members, guests, communication providers, and mobile carriers.
1. Communications Covered
Consented communications may include worship reminders, service or event updates, ministry announcements, schedule changes, emergency notices, volunteer information, prayer or community-care updates, and other non-promotional church information. Message frequency varies according to church activity and urgent needs.
2. Approved Opt-In Methods
Consent may be collected through a website form with a separate unchecked consent control, a written or digital church form, a text-to-join keyword initiated by the subscriber, a church QR-code workflow that opens an opt-in action, or a direct request that authorized church staff document. Providing a phone number by itself is not treated as consent for recurring messages.

3. Affirmative Action Required
Online consent controls must not be preselected. The subscriber must intentionally check the consent control, sign the written disclosure, send the published opt-in keyword, complete the QR-code workflow, or make another clear request to enroll. Consent for text messages or automated calls is kept separate from general website use whenever practical.
4. Consent Records
Franklin Chapel may retain the subscriber name and mobile number, date and time of consent, opt-in method, source form or keyword, disclosure language presented, responsible ministry or staff member, confirmation status, and later preference or opt-out activity. Paper forms, form submissions, keyword logs, and communication-provider records may be retained as supporting evidence.

6. Opt-Out And Help
A subscriber may reply STOP to any church text to unsubscribe and may reply HELP for assistance. To stop automated voice calls, update a preference, or request help, contact Franklin Chapel at 910-276-2923. Opt-out requests are honored promptly and recorded with the communication account.
7. Mobile Privacy
Mobile information, text-message originator opt-in data, and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. CallingPost or another contracted service provider may process this information only as needed to deliver church communications, maintain records, support opt-out functions, and operate the service.
8. Prohibited Enrollment Practices
Franklin Chapel does not use purchased lists for church texts or automated calls, does not enroll a person solely because a phone number appears in an unrelated record, and does not require communication consent as a condition of giving, worship attendance, membership, or receiving church services.
