Our CHURCH

Who We Are

Founded in 1876, Franklin Chapel AME Zion Church has stood as a steadfast beacon of faith, hope, and community in Laurinburg, North Carolina. For nearly 150 years, our church has been dedicated to serving God and nurturing generations through worship, education, and outreach.
Rooted in the rich traditions of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Franklin Chapel embraces a legacy of social justice, spiritual growth, and community empowerment. We strive to be a place where all people can experience the transforming love of Christ and find a church family that supports them in every season of life.
At Franklin Chapel AME Zion, we honor our past, celebrate the present, and look forward with hope to a future filled with new opportunities to serve. We invite you to join us in worship, fellowship, and service as we continue the work God began here in 1876.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Next Steps

After worship, we aim to connect with God and others. Outreach efforts will spread Christ’s love. New discipleship programs will deepen faith and Bible knowledge. These steps are crucial for our faith journey as we anticipate God’s work in the church.
