This past Monday, Franklin Chapel AME Zion Church was filled with laughter, sunshine, and the joy of community as youth from across the neighborhood came together for the churchโs annual Easter Egg Hunt. Sponsored by the Christian Education Department, the event brought families and friends together for a day packed with fun, fellowship, and faith.
The Hunt Is On!
Children of all ages dashed across the lawn with baskets in hand, hunting for brightly colored eggs hidden under bushes, behind trees, and tucked in the grass. The Easter Egg Hunt was the highlight of the day, sparking excitement and smiles as kids discovered eggs filled with sweet surprises.
Creativity, Community, and Celebration
But the fun didnโt stop there. After the hunt, the celebration continued with a variety of outdoor activities that kept everyone engaged. From games and music to creative crafts, there was something for everyone to enjoy. One of the crowd favorites was the button-making station, where kids had the chance to design and press their own personalized buttonsโfun keepsakes to remember the special day.
Of course, no celebration is complete without good food! Volunteers served up delicious meals and refreshments, giving everyone a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy each other’s company.
A Heartfelt Thank You
This Easter event wasnโt just about funโit was a reflection of the churchโs mission to nurture spiritual growth and build strong community ties. The joyful energy of the youth, the support of dedicated volunteers, and the spirit of fellowship throughout the day made it clear: the Christian Education Departmentโs efforts are sowing seeds of faith, creativity, and connection.
Franklin Chapel AME Zion Church extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the event a successโand especially to the Christian Education Department for their vision and leadership.
Until next yearโHappy Easter from Franklin Chapel!
